Good afternoon, Heroes Families!


We are excited to see all of you back at school tomorrow!  Our school hours remain the same as last year:  Monday through Thursday, 8:25-3:30; Friday 8:25-2:20.  All students will have free breakfast served in their classrooms and free lunch in the cafeteria. 


Kindergarten parents:  If you are dropping off your kindergarteners in the morning, please use the kindergarten entrance at the back of the building.  Those riding the bus will be met in the front by a teacher.  All other elementary students will line up in the main courtyard where their classroom teachers will meet them.  Middle school students will meet their teachers under the gazebo by the auxiliary gym. 


Parents:  Please wait for teachers to come outside, as they will be preparing their classrooms for students in the morning.  You will be able to meet them then.

This is a reminder to all students and parents that shirts must have the Heroes logo on them this year; no plain shirts are allowed.  Also, pants must not have holes in them, and no unnatural hair color is allowed. Students are encouraged to bring water bottles to fill up during these hot days.  We will also have bottled water available.


Please mark your calendars for the following dates:

·         September 5th:  Labor Day—school will be closed

·         September 9th:  Picture Day—information will be coming home soon

·         September 14th:  Open House at 6:00 p.m.  Please join us to learn more about the exciting things going on at Heroes K-8 Academy, like AVID, Thriving Learning Communities, and Achievement Network.  You will also have a chance to meet all of our incredible teachers!


Cross Country Practice Begins on Monday, August 29th from 3:45-5:30 pm. Students may still clear on Monday 8/29. Please wear shorts, shirt, tennis shoes and bring a water bottle to participate.
