Weekly Update, October 30, 2016

The weather is changing and it can be a bit chilly in the mornings. If the temperature is above 38 degrees, we allow the students to play outside. Please remind your students to wear a coat and appropriate fall clothing to school.

Monday, Oct 31

Teacher’s Workday—no school for students


Tuesday, Nov 1

11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Parent-Teacher Conferences

Tuesday, Nov 1 through Thursday, Nov 3

Scholastic Book Fair in the Media Center

Wednesday, Nov 2

8:15 a.m. Prayer at the Pole

Pickles and Popcorn for sale after school in the courtyard ($1 each)

Domino’s Pizza Night—a portion of the sales are returned to the school to support student activities

Thursday, Nov 3

5th Grade Field Trip to Beulah—students should dress appropriately and wear sunscreen

J-Squared Program walking field trip to the Rosemount Museum—appropriate shoes must be worn

3:45 p.m. Pathway Committee Meeting—all parents and staff are invited to hear which accountability pathway the school will choose in its effort to reach Performance Status

4:30 p.m. Boys Basketball game at Pleasant View Middle School

7:00 p.m.  Color Guard, Symphonic, Percussion and Jazz Bands Concert at Heroes Auditorium—students must arrive by 6:30; parents, please arrive through auditorium doors at the northeast side of the building in the staff parking lot


Friday, Nov 4

AVID Elective classes’ field trip to PCC

The Colorado Commissioner of Education, Dr. Katy Anthes, will be visiting Heroes K-8 Academy

7:45 a.m.  Fellowship of Christian Heroes meeting in Room 117

3:00 p.m. Food Pantry Pick-Up by the kindergarten doors

Pickles, Popcorn and Jerky for sale in the courtyard after school


Please mark your calendars for the week of November 21-25th.  We will have no school for the Thanksgiving Break
