We will celebrate the holidays this week with Christmas Spirit Week.  Christmas Candy-grams will be for sale during lunch, and we encourage students and staff to show their spirit by wearing a different Christmas-themed item each day:


Monday—Wear a Christmas tie

Tuesday—Wear Christmas socks

Wednesday—Wear an ugly Christmas sweater

Thursday—Wear an elf, reindeer, or Santa hat

Friday—Wear a Christmas shirt



Mon, Dec 12

*3rd graders will receive dictionaries to take home from Rotary International.

Please wish our boys basketball teams good luck in district playoffs. 

*4:30 p.m.--Boys Varsity plays at Risley International School of Innovation.

*6:00 p.m.--Boys JV plays at Liberty Point International Middle School in Pueblo West against Vineland Middle School


Tues, Dec 13

*4:30 p.m.--NAL match against John Neumann Catholic School at Central High School


Wed, Dec 14

*8:15 a.m.—Prayer at the Pole

*Popcorn and Pickles for sale after school in the courtyard


Thurs, Dec 15

*7:00 p.m.  Concert for Symphonic, Percussion, Beginning Band and Orchestra—students must arrive by 6:30. Parents/guardians:  Please use the northeast doors near the auditorium.


Fri, Dec 16

*7:45 a.m.—Fellowship of Christian Heroes meeting in Room 115

*9:00 a.m.—K-2 Hero of the Month and Awards Assembly in the auditorium

*10:00 a.m.—3-5 Hero of the Month and Awards Assembly in the auditorium

*11:30 a.m.—6-8 Hero of the Month and Awards Assembly in the auditorium

*1:00 p.m.—The movie “Elf” will be shown in the auditorium, sponsored by MS Student Council.  Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance.  Concession items will be available for purchase.

*Pickles, popcorn and jerky for sale after school in the courtyard

*2:40 p.m.—Food pantry pick up near kindergarten doors at the back of the building



Athletic clearing for girls basketball and boys wrestling will run through Friday, December 16th. Any girl interested in playing basketball or any boy interested in wrestling must pick up a packet from the office.  The participation fee is $ 45. Scholarships are available.  Students must have a current medical physical to participate. All clearing paperwork must be turned in to Ms. Nava by the 16th, and no late paper work will be accepted. Students must be cleared before they can practice. Girls Practice will start January 2nd.
