Middle School students and parents: We will begin tardy sweeps on September 12, 2016. If a student is caught in a tardy sweep, it could result in after school community service and/or ISS. All students are expected to be in class when the bell rings.

We are in the process of organizing a GED program at Heroes. The program would be onsite three days per week after school. We have three people interested in the program so far, but we need 15 to have a class. We are also trying to get the fee waived for families and provide daycare. We need to find out how many parents would be interested in participating. Please give Hope Reilly a call at 549-7419 if you are interested.

I would like to congratulate the J-Squared Program, which is our school’s new leadership program that involves the Junior ROTC from Centennial High School, tutoring, guest speakers, leadership training, and the Boy Scouts. The program is the brainchild of our school counselors, Mrs. Reilly and Mr. Pacheco. The J-Squared Program, led by Dusty Weigel, hosted a touching memorial ceremony commemorating the pride and patriotism shown by the citizens of our great country 15 years ago during the terrorist attack of 9/11. Thank you also to Leila Ruyle for reading the tribute message over the intercom.
